We are a busy day nursery in South ockendon. Our nursery has places for babys 6 weeks old up to age 11 years. We are open 7am-7pm. We do school pick ups and drop offs to our local schools.

Welcome to Headstart Nursery

We are a very busy nursery open 51 weeks we are closed bank holidays and the week between Christmas and new year. 

We have a range of ages from 6 weeks old to age 11 years. Headstart Nursery opened in November 2003 by the owner Sarah Abbott.
Headstart Nursery is a family run Nursery, our managers are Jody Barry and Kerrie Everitt and they would be delighted to give you a tour of our facilities, discuss your needs and answer any questions. We are delighted to have 5 different rooms and two gardens to meet all needs of the children. Our Ofsted is Good and our inspection was in November 2022

Guppies

Our guppies are children from 6 weeks to 18 months. Our facilities enable children to explore and develop.

Seahorses

Our seahorse room is for children ages 18 months to 2 years. This room is perfect for new walkers, and little explorers.

Seals

Our Seals room caters for children aged 2-3 years. This room is to help build the children's independence with support from the key worker.

Dolphin

Our Dolphin room is caters for children aged 3-5years and open all year from 7:30am-7:00pm.

Mini Penguins & Penguins

Our Mini Penguins & Penguins caters for children aged 2-5 years (term time only). This room is aimed at preparing children for school and independence.

Sharks

Our Sharks is for reception children to year 6. We offer a breakfast club, after school club and holiday club.
