Welcome to Headstart Nursery

Headstart Nursery is a busy, family-run setting that has been proudly serving the community since November 2003. Founded by Sarah Abbott, the nursery provides high-quality care and education for children from as young as 12 weeks old up to 11 years of age.

We are open 51 weeks of the year, closing only for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

Our management team, Jody Barry and Kerrie Everitt, would be delighted to give you a tour of our facilities, discuss your child's needs, and answer any questions you may have.

We offer:

  • Five dedicated rooms designed to cater to each stage of your child’s development

  • Two spacious gardens to support outdoor play and learning

  • A recent Ofsted rating of "Good" from our November 2022 inspection

We also provide school drop-off and collection services, following the Thurrock Term Dates, to the following local schools:

  • Aveley Primary School

  • Dilkes Primary School

  • Shaw Primary School

  • Bonnygate Primary School

  • Benyon Primary School

Our sessions and price list

At Headstart Nursery, we offer flexible childcare to suit your family’s needs. We are open from 7:30am to 19:00pm, providing a variety of session times throughout the day.

Session Options:

We offer full-day and part-day sessions to accommodate different schedules.Please note: A minimum of two sessions per week is required for each child.
