Our Approach to Learning & Development
At Headstart Nursery, we are committed to supporting every child’s individual development through a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive approach. We follow the Birth to 5 Matters framework, which offers guidance to help children reach key developmental milestones across all areas of learning.
Using a secure and reliable tracking system, we monitor each child's progress, identify any areas where they may benefit from extra support or added challenges, and adapt our teaching to meet their unique needs. This personalised approach ensures every child is encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace.
To keep families actively involved in their child’s early education, we provide termly progress reports that highlight your child’s experiences, achievements, and their next steps in learning.
We also use the Blossom app to share regular updates, including photos, observations, and special learning moments—so you can stay connected to your child’s day, wherever you are.
When additional support is needed, we work closely with external professionals and agencies to ensure every child receives the right guidance and care. Our goal is to create a strong foundation for lifelong learning by meeting the individual needs of each child in partnership with their families.
