Soft Play Bus
Our children had a fantastic time during the visit from the soft play bus. This experience supported the EYFS areas of Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Communication and Language. The children explored the space with confidence, developing their gross motor skills through climbing, balancing, and moving safely. They played cooperatively with their peers, created their own games, took turns, and built positive relationships with friends and staff. This enjoyable experience encouraged independence, teamwork, and a love of active learning.
Sports Sessions
Our children love taking part in a wide range of sports sessions delivered by Super Star Sports, who visit our setting once a week. To ensure all children aged 2–5 years have the opportunity to participate, the session day changes each term. The children have been enjoying football and yoga sessions, which support the EYFS areas of Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Communication and Language. These sessions help children develop coordination, balance, confidence, teamwork, and listening skills while encouraging a positive attitude towards physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
Music Sessions
Our children have the opportunity to taking part in weekly music sessions with Tiny Mites. A Tiny Mites lead visits the setting each week, supporting children’s learning through a range of engaging techniques, including singing, stories, and exploring a variety of musical instruments. The sessions also include books, puppets, and music, which help to capture the children’s interest and imagination. These experiences support the EYFS areas of Communication and Language, Expressive Arts and Design, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development, while encouraging confidence, listening skills, and a love of music. The day changes each term for all children to have the chance to join in with the music session.
